nope, not crazy. just 8 years is already kind of outdated. Yeah, Ford doesn't have as much luxury or comfort, but still. not bad

Well everyone has there opinions but still know my old w210 handled, looked, and is and probably still will be more reliable then a ford SHO and would'nt be surpised if it performed better then a new SHO as well. But yeah your right NOT BAD.

Oh wait,i didn't say the new SHO is bad.
I mean time will tell,right?
It looks great,i like the design, and the twin turbo engine? Not Bad!I saw some videos on youtube some of them running 12's!But seriously, being a E55 driver and trading it in for an SHO?how....?
He probably did an even trade if his car was a 05 or 06 and got a fully loaded SHO

Ok fair price? Don't get me wrong I love the SHO, but it starts at $37k. It's supposed to be a performance sedan that anyone can afford. The price kills that car. Look at what you can get for $37k a low miles 2006 E55 and maybe even a 2007 E63, do the math. Drive a ford for the same price as a low miles AMG, I'm picking AMG all day long.

I agree, the new Taurus is not a bad car, I had one (non-SHO) as a rental car about a month ago on a trip, it's fit finish and feel is not up to MB levels but it 10x's nicer than any Ford I can rember seeing or driving, it's got a much more Europeon feel than previous fords, I would say it interior quality is on par with VW levels which are actually quote nice. Furthermore there are several tuners already posting impresive results, I have seen a couple tuners that are already seeing dyno number in the high 380rwhp range with the stock turbo. There are several companies offering full coil-over suspension kits for the SHO and Brembo just released a big brake system for the car and there is a rumored Hennessey as well as a Shelby version in the works so it's obviously got the attention of tuners but I don't think they are ready to tackle the German big 3 yet, but I guess you always have to have goals.

I think it's about time to stop bashing american cars just because of what they were in the past. Things have become much more globally oriented, and who knows what part of our beloved MB's was made and perfected by Ford. It's a free market, nobody is forced to buy it. Let's give our car-making people a chance to redeem themselves!

Uhhhh, let's not and say we did. Every USA made vehicle I have ever owned (and I have owned quite a vast array from Mustangs, and Challengers to Cadillacs and Chryslers) was a total POS!! I will NEVER own an American-made car again! And to rebut, I bet you Ford has more parts that were made and perfected by MB than the other way around!!!

My E55 is in the shop for some engine work and I
am driving a Chevy Impala. WHAT A POS! The worst thing about the car though is the aircon controls... Glad I don't have to drive it every day!

are you serious? go test drive new 2010 line-up, even Ford connector is nice. I am not defending American car companies, but I totally agree with Twinreds, stop bashing American cars just because of what they were in the past. GM are in the free fall, but Ford is the company that beat Toyota in car sales in the USA, also the same company that refused to take government money. Yeah, end of 90s-2000s Ford cars were pretty bad and ugly, cheap plastic and etc, but things change!

I agree with the FORD statement. I rented a Mustang covertable when I was in Florida last month. I actually enjoyed it especialy Microsoft SYNC. Way better than our voice command systems.

...or maybe you should keep driving your Benz, don't get a Ford and shut the piehole ;-)
Everyone is entitled to an opinion, same way a Maybach owner might be thinking you're driving a Mitsubishi, and a Bugatti Veyron owner might thing your Benz is a skateboard...

LOL your funny. If your entitled to your opinion then obviously i am as well right? I gave you my opinion just like you did so now go buy your ford and sell your BENZ since you compare it to a Misubishi or better yet a skateboard lol. Come on dude its a stupid thread and for u to compare our E55 to a maybach or a BUgatti is alittle riduculous they don't even compare just like the Taurus to a E55. Get real dude

Ford is on their game, Sales are sky high, and they fought through the tough auto-sales times, without asking for a hand out. Plus, LINCOLN is the #1 Ranked make in J.D Powers Reliability rankings, with Ford, and Mercury not far behind at all (they're all identical anyways).

I drove the Taurus Sho, by far leaps and bounds more luxurious and refined than anything Ford has made, still no where near W211 levels in interior quality and materials, but still very good. The car feels very confident, cozy, and strong, like you feel very safe in it. The Sho was a little disappointing to me performance wise, I just love Torque, and feel and sound of V8's, the Sho had very little low-end, and just didn't feel like a performance car, due to the quiet, smooth zippy TT 6-banger underhood perhaps.
