Quaife is a game changer, period !
If you don't have the 030 package, the Quaife is a game changer as far as I'm concerned. The car is easier to launch hard, sweepers, entrance-exit ramps ... just all around more enjoyable to drive.
One wheel drive ... add 500 HP ... have the brakes come on and cut the power to limit wheel slip .... sounds like a plan mercedes.

Any disadvantages to installing this system. I was very surprised that M5 has LSD and E55 does not. Also I know there is a breaking system that is suppose to be equivalent of LSD, by installing this, will this interfere with that system? Lastly what generation LSD is this from the manufacturer, will there be any issues down the road causing problems being it's first generation?

What's everyone paying for Installation? What is needed aside from the product. Is everything included for the shop to do the work? Lastly is there only one Quaife LSD for the W211 E55 AMG. Are there previous models, newer renditions etc..

QDF9V is for late 2003 and up.
The Quaife is a gear driven LSD and the OS Giken is a clutch driven.
The OS is much better for road course racing compared to the Quaife but the OS Giken is $3500/list.
The OS Giken Type C(MB 04-up) and Type E(MB 03-down) is $3150/shipped.

A couple of questions for you here on this. What 0-60MPH / Quarter mile time improvement do you see with this LSD and how much labor would I look at to have it professionally installed?
Basically I'll have a 180mm Pulley, Tune, Johnson Pump and upgraded HE so my next mods will be EITHER headers or the LSD, so I'm torn between both. Headers are more expensive but I do know the HP gain I'll get from them (40+ HP) but am not so sure about the Quaife.
It's a fanstastic price so if you could provide me any guidance I'd appreciate it and would buy it through you.
