Guys the 10d fan mod is a joke, you have a 190d thermo and it settles to around 200-205 depending on the weather.
The fan is going to be on all the time because your thermo is at a higher point.
I had a lower t stat as a first mod and my fan never comes on.I do get an engine to cold check engine light every few weeks in the winter tho.
I remember one night I couldnt get the engine over 171 degrees with it being 20 out.

I actually ended up buying a used 160 degree thermostat from a member here about 6 months ago.....and it's been sitting in my trunk awaiting install since
No money for non essential work lately.
When I end up getting it installed I will report back.

Had the 160 degree thermostat, HE, and CM30 installed recently. Nearly 100 degree days, and the car doesn't miss a beat. Definitely doesn't heatsoak as bad as it used it, if any. I can deal with the noise for the consistent power output.

LOL.
Never be embarrassed by something like that. My older Boxster/Carrera/RX-8 all did the same thing, once the fan kicks on it's loud, but that's a necessary evil.
You don't drive a Camry. Why would you want it to sound like one?

Okay, I know I am in the minority and maybe totally wrong on this. So the fan comes on early or just stays on and the t-stat opens at a lower temp. This all seems great when you are not loading up the beast. After a short time at WOT the stock settings are going to turn on the fan and open the t-stat so what is the real advantage. At this point, both systems are wide open and struggling to remove heat.
