2010 E63 & Landaulet
I went to the dealership this morning to drop the car to get it lowered via star. While waiting around for my loaner I started to get bored so I walked around a little.... Well it didn't take me long, I turn the corner and right by the front door laid these two beauties!!!
Some people just have too much money. I don't know how many of these are floating around but I had to take some pics are share em with my AMG fam.
Enjoy

LOL My Car is at Westminster too... I will be heading over this afternoon to pick it up... WHOA you got a loaner... I have a 3 Day... $3200 bill and I get a courtesy ride! WTF... Who's your SA? They replaced the SC Clutch pulley, flange and other bits... oh and the gas tank had in cabin leak so they had to replace some of those parts before I caught my 55 on fire.... The tech at Murray did not do his job properly when he did the recall last year.
As for the 1.4M Landaulet that thing is straight up a ballers car...

In all fairness to WMB they had no loaners at the time but they said they could get me one after they figured out they were about to take a small fortune from me... I did not need a loaner so I was ok with that.

The 57 and 62 models are okay but that Landaulet is weird looking.
Anyway, we might not be seeing any more Maybachs.
"Should the facelift be implemented, it may be a last hurrah for the brand, which was revived by Daimler in 2002 to provide an ultra-luxury alternative to its existing S-Class portfolio. Built largely upon the S-class, the brand never found its stride, and apart from a few special-edition models and sport variants, never truly expanded its lineup.
"The contribution of Maybach is not significant or relevant," Daimler CEO Dieter Zetsche told Autocar, "but there are only two players and we are one of them."
Rumors suggest that instead of developing a next-gen Maybach, the company will simply craft an even more luxurious variant of the next-gen S-class -- similar to what Daimler used to do with the special stretched Pullman models."

Honestly, the 'Bach looks like a pre-production, uglified W221 to me, like some weird mutant offspring of one (of course I know the Maybach came out first and the 221 took after it).
I've always thought Maybachs were hideous, of course the luxury aspect is beyond supreme. Still, no question I'd take a Phantom every time over one, if I were so fortunate. Not saying I think the Phantom is all so great looking itself.

The people in their right mind who want the chauffeur to sit in the front and drive, while they sit in the back with the top down sipping wine. What's dumb for them is sitting in a super fast two-seater with the chauffeur right next to you and no room for the girlfriend, the luggage, or the wine.
That's who.
