Well your power ratings are correct, but it is in NO WAY SHAPE OR FORM the old 5.0 Windsor block.. They are not even made out of the same metal, have the same amount of cams, bearing journals, etc, etc.
Do a little home work and you will understand what I am talking about my friend.

Umm...no homework necessary here (although you might want to start doing some homework yourself, as the old Windsor block and heads were iron...the new engine is all aluminum)... where did I say that it was the same block...engine or whatever. The 5.0L designation is back....all though this time it is actually correctly rounded up (4951cc)...rather than the 4942cc engine rounded up incorrectly to 5.0L.

I thought by your previous post that you thought it was the old windsor block, me bad.
But I have to admit, I like what Ford is doing these days. It also helps that FM use to sponsor me Although that was a long time ago.
And of course NO LUXURY MB tax on mods

SVTPerformance, oh man. I post over there as GTRdone and I honestly can say that site is one of the few reasons I get so angry with stupid people over the internet.... then I remember that we are arguing over the internet.
Anyways, I used to be a member here a few years back when I had my E55 and G55. Used to be a member on SVTPerformance but my brother and I got kicked off the site for actually proving that we had and drove what we said. My stepmom had an E55 wagon at the time as well as the family was rolling only in AMGs... anyways.
The Race: we are both bone stock. That was one of the best races I've had in a long while.
My 2010 GT500 still has the iron block but it has the new looks, interior and technology packages. It's basically an 09 KR engine with 2 more degrees of timing and 2 more knock sensors.
I can honestly say I wasn't a huge fan of the 2007 I used to have but this car is nearly a night and day difference although it is the same platform. The dash is solid, the transmission is smooth, the exhaust sounds good, not as much blower whine (wish there was) and the touch points and sound system are phenomenal for a 49k FORD.
The new 2011 has the aluminum block which saves ~150 lbs and new springs, shocks, rates and a few other tweaks and revisions. Not to mention you can get the SVT Performance Pack this year with 3.73s and staggered 19/20 rims plus the thin stripe package.

Great race. I've actually looked at buying a used GT500 and putting on a Kenne Belle Supercharger which you can get it ot 850HP with stock internals. Its' the same SC that the "Super Snake" uses for 750HP.
Used you can get one low miles for about $35K right now, plus $7K for the SC install and 850HP daily driver is pretty nice!
