Best Road and Track Article EVER!! 8/03

not sure how you guys feel about road and track,
as for this article, i remember sitting on the can in my parents house, during summer after my first year of college, reading this article. I remember then how amazed i was the the E55 beats the SL55 0 to 100 to 0.
That was the day i set my eyes on the 996TT, happy to tell you in 2007 i purchased a 996tt, then when the wife got pregnant, i knew i had to get another car!! she was not please with my ideas about custom car seats for the little guy in the back of the turbo.
So in late august she was all over me to get a new car, "something with four doors" everyone kept saying.
yep - I was at my parents house for the weekend, my pops was giving me **** about the turbo as well -- so i went into my old bedroom, and after about 15 min i found the R&T august issue from 2003 ...
Today im daily driving 2003 e55

I remember that article. I also remember seeing the video of a bone stock E55 pulling on a modded Mustang Cobra years back and being impressed. I was a BMW fan but knew that the AMG boys were power hungry and now here I am

I have this mag at home. Good article, but I do have a bone to pick on using the "transition" time. That seems to me to be almost entirely the function of a driver's reflexes and not the car itself.
