Hoosier Drag Radials
I had a set of Hoosier Drag Radials and would drive on them between home and Milan Dragway. That's about a about a 40 mile round trip, mostly on a 70 MPH freeway. Because of the sidewall flex they weren't a lot of fun at speed or around corners but they were terrific launching from a dead stop, as you would suspect.
Take care!
I run MT's full time on my '68' Camaro and Cobra replica and have for years. It's the only way to hook up on the street. On regular tires, I couldn't win a race due to tire spin all the way through 3rd. gear. With the MT's, it's chirp and gone.

New too Drag racing could you give me some tips on running my CLS 55 030 at Milan Dragway . Who did your performance work suggestions on mods ,Stock except k&N's Badm
The Best of Mercedes & AMG

Mine definately wobbled at high speed , driving on the street was no prob as long as you stay under 75mph(fwy).
Heck if you own the Hoosiers , just take em out for the day and see how they feel. My MT's have life still after many track passes and some street use.

Thanks for the info, thats what I was thinking. The tires seem so soft, almost like a bias ply. The MT's worked great for me on the street. Guess I will just mount them and have some fun then switch back to MT Radials. I have 2 sets of CCW rears, one for radials for the street and the other with bias ply for the track

Hope you can make it back out to MIR sometime in the fall/winter!I always keep an eye out for the MIR runs. I was actually in MD for the event that was scheduled this past spring but snowed out. Maybe this fall....
I occasionally head down to Milan for their Test & Tune events. The track prep is usually good and it's a nice group of folks who run their cars there. If you want to meet up at Milan sometime just give me a shout.
Shame they suck @ speed, freeway wobbles over 85ish... Also sux they have to come back off tamara morn...
Def trying them as soon as these are worn out after a few REAL 1/4 passes...

Hi, Badm. Motorwerks in Commerce Township is the leading tuning shop in the area. They handled most of the mods on my car as well as several other AMGs.

"Hoosier D.O.T. drag radials are designed and approved for D.O.T. class racing only. They are not approved, nor recommended for any kind of street use"

At the time I attributed that behavior to the high hp that car was producing (700 whp) but I now think it was because of the hoosiers. In comparison, Mickey Thompson's ET Street Radials were much more stable on the street.
