I just graduated UTI in Rancho Cucamonga with MBSTARt elective under my belt. And I also got a job back in San Diego at a MB dealership. In the next few months I will be looking into buying an E55 amg. I started with a 98 turbo Integra, then an 06 Mitsu Evo MR/SE but now I want something more suited to my social status. Plus they are bad ***!! Just letting everyone know so I don't seem awkward asking dumb questions. I can't wait for all the info and sweet pics! Thanks guys!

Welcome...Even though these cars can be seen as a steal, they still get repaired like they were still an 80K car. With that in mind, make sure you have money set aside for any repairs or better yet get a car that is CPO or has a valid aftermarket warranty.

I'm sorry I guess I didn't explain myself well enough. I am moving back to San Diego as a Mercedes-Benz technition. So I am very aware of what these cars cost to fix. But it will be much easier when Im doing the work myself in my own stall at the dealership. . But thank you for the insight!

And noob question.. What is CPO?

Certified Pre-Owned...I'd still get one with a warranty...at least parts would be covered.

Welcome to MBWorld. Even though you may have noob questions, we'll have plenty of questions for you as a tech. The other tech here is Konigstiger.

CPO means "certified pre-owned." Lots of brands have this, including Porsche and Mercedes. If you buy a CPO from a dealer, you'll get an extended warranty. As a tech and employed at a MB dealer, it may not be worth it to you. That's your decision. But as you know, parts are pricey.
