When I got the seat, it came with the rails and side mounts. It didn't come with base mounts because they didn't have them available. I made a few phone calls and had my friend's friend make me custom base mounts. After those were made, 4 bolts, unplug a few things and bam the seat was in.

Haven't pulled the trigger on it just yet... I do drive this car everyday and I also do plan on putting the back seats back in once again. Don't know when but sometime in the future.

Beautiful seat. Status makes a great product from what I've seen.

I'm sorry though, I just don't get it. The E55 handles pretty good for a 4000 pound sedan, but it doesn't handle THAT good. Especially not enough for me to give up the comfort of the stock seat for a racing bucket.

If I remember correctly, the stock seats came in somewhere in the 6X lbs. range? My current bucket seat set up comes in right at 18lbs. (Seat itself is 12 lbs.)

You are correct, but you should sit in it an take a turn. You aren't going anywhere. LOL It was only suppose to be for track days, but I just never got around to putting the stock seats back in...

I get my fair share of people wonderin just WTH I'm thinkin putting a bucket in a mercedes.
