if you're interested in selling the 63 front end ill take it off your hands and you'll probably get more value out of it this way too.

Have you considered an E55/E63 wagon? Hard to come by, but I can attest a great solution. My 4-year old loves riding backwards.

Also an R63. Only AWD AMG, as far as I know.

Sorry to see you sell, but understand. We're adding twin boys to the family in a few weeks and added a used Doge mini-van to the garage. We'll go back to the E55 as soon as they're in forward facing seats.

ML63?

Whats wrong with Fords? They arent the POS american cars they are made out to be.

Realistically you wont find any big SUVs from anyplace but America.

edit: You can check out the GL550. I have one and there is alot of room in the third row if you move the second row up a bit.

1989 Toyota Tercel EZ - dyno'd @ 70whp/77wtq
My best recommendation is VW Routan - I know it's a glorified Dodge Grand Caravan... but still, from the outside looks much better. Inside... amazing space.

If you don't mind going suburban size, Toyota Sequoia - the new one. Amazing vehicle. If you want to go crazy, supercharge it

Not sure how old your daughters are... but if they still require car seats, none that you mentioned is a good choice:
- R class: Easy to get in/out... but you'll need at least 1 seat up in 3rd row... not much cargo space left.
- GL class: If you put all your children in 2nd row, 3rd row will be useless. If you put one in 3rd row, tough to get in/out (especially if your daughter still uses car seat) and cargo space is close to nothing.
- Touareg: No 3rd row as far as I know? 2nd row leg space is pretty tiny.
- Q7: 3rd row is a joke for adults... similar situation as GL... nicer interior, though.
- GX470: Small cargo (ugly design for 3rd row seat)... 3rd row is also a joke.

My situation?
I have a one-month-old baby (infant seat with base) and 17-month-old daughter (car seat)... in-laws are visiting.
I used to use Recaro Signo... but GL is not wide enough to accommodate an infant seat and the car seat next to each other... so now, I have the regular Britax Marathon. This one fits but very tight... going in/out to 3rd row requires you to take out the infant seat first.
It works... but requires a lot of work Been trying to persuade wife to go to Routan.

I recommend the Enclave I just bouaght one for my wife. The kids love it. easy for them to get in the back row because we got the captains chairs in the middle you can get a bench if you want so it seats 8.

The LX570 is the one to have not the GX460....lot more scrilla but wider and more capable with a strong turn of speed...

also, if it's size you're after the new Toyota Sequoai is huge and seats 8-9 with room for luggage...Caddy Escalade ESV the same and both are wider than the skinny GL...

suggestion of Ford is a poor one as the Expedition EL may be massive but the platform is very old and the engine weak...

We were in the same boat about 8 months ago and looked at all those you mentioned plus the Rover, X5, and LandCruiser - we ended up going to look at the Infiniti QX56 and that is the one we landed on - the new body just came out and the engine is bigger and the fit and finish is top notch for a Japanese car - we have been very happy and its the perfect size with captains chairs in the 2nd row and comes pretty much fully loaded vs having to add option by option.

and for the stroller - go Bugaboo - best looking one on the market and it comes in black metal vs the pllished metal - think of it like powder coating your rims!

Toyota Land Cruiser. Seating for 7 (older models) or 8 in the newer ones. I rarely use the third row seats in the LC (only two kidlets).

We have had the lx470 with 4 kids now and it works great. I can see where a Sequoia or LX570 might be the way to go next year. The car has been paid off for a long time and I think we have 90k miles on our lx470. I am not sure how much in trade we would get, but We looked at the gl550 and you might as well get the lx470 in terms of size. We will probably end up with an lx570 unless a Mercedes E55 wagon comes on the market.

Thank's you for all car & SUVs recommendations.... I didn't know that VW toureg just have one row, ... so I will forget about it, E55 wagon perfect, Infinity QX566 good choice... I have Infinity before, good car, long time ago I jump from Infinity to Mercedes... R500 R350 is an option, Sequoia or Lexus LX is an option, buick enclave very nice look, I like it.... GL450 could be... you guys think that I can get a trade with somebody? or I'm crazy? or I should start to sell somewhere my car? I don't really like to show my car to people that just wannna test drive, or people that have this car as a dream an just wanna waist my time with questions, or no money or no loan aproval,.... etc. etc. or saying I have $20,000 cash... green papers in hand, let me know when you decide to let it go.... (hate that) people thinking that you are in money troubles..... I am in a SUV need ! also I'm afraid to aproach to the dealer,... I feel sick after what they offer for a trade same thing will happend when they offer a trade for your SUV that I need

New QX56 isn't the intimidating luxury liner it used to be. They've scaled it down a touch size wise, but still is an amazing SUV! Some websites are calling it the greatest SUV ever made. We still have the older style QX land yacht and LOVE LOVE IT!!

Wife wants the newer one. 420hp on the new one...sweet!

Bet you can get some screaming deals on the older styles as they begin to phase them out. 15mpg though. Know that going in. New ones average around 18.

I believe it is always easier to demod the car and work the deal on the new ride from the value of your trade. You will always get it in the *** on trade in value, so keeping ANY mods on the car is a mistake. There is always the chance of lighting striking and an ethusiast buys it at a fair price...but most enthusiasts want to do mods according to their taste.
As poular as the e63 mods are you might be able to find a member to pay you some cash, then pay to swap the parts from their 55 onto yours.

Anyway you go, good luck!

FYI, the TLC has different throttle and programming and was never part of that recall or any other safety recalls...the ford Explorer on the other hand...

btw- i didn't think the new Infiniti with the 400bhp v8 was out for another few months... "Baldmike" you say the new one came out 8mos ago, I'm confused...

Get a Land Rover LR4. It's my next suv. I have had two LR3's I loved but the lr4 is way better( they added 75 horses). It's the only suv I have seen where you can actually get a 6 footer in the third row. I had 60k miles between the two I owned and nothing but oil changes for me at the dealer.

And it has pano roof...
