Hmm I don't get it, Is this a way to activate fans while car is off or it has to be on?
I saw my friend do this on his 04 but my 05 does not have the rest button.

I tried this on my 2004 E55, and while I could access the menu, it didn't make any changes to the fan speed no matter what settings I changed (I tried every one listed on many threads)

And Option 20 seems to be the thermotronic LCD display brightness instead of whatever the have put in the forums. What I don't understand is that the settings can go from 0-99 then beyond that is a number with a small block like this -> "█00", "█01". It seems to be like a number 1 the █ is representing. But why wouldn't they just put a 1 instead of a █ ? When it hits "█01" the setting is super bright but the night auto dimming doesn't work.
Did I just read this right are you saying you can turn up the brightness of the greeny/blue AC display unit other than turning the knob to turn the cluster and AC panel brightness up at the same time?
If so you just made my day because mine has always been dim no matter if you had the brightness knob for the cluster up all the way or not!!
That one should almost be a sticky because im sure im not the only one with that highly annoying issue and im sure people have gone to the length of replacing the bloody thing!!!
