rolling jumpstart?
I was just curious -- I have not tried it or had reason to try it but just in case -- Can we jumpstart our cars if we roll them down a hill and put the car into gear??? I know you can put the car into nuetral and push it -- So, just wondering if it would work like a manual ---
The car may not allow you to dump the car into gear when its off and rolling -- just a thought -- i am not ready to test it on my ride

give it a try, good luck, please post back what you determine. And please make a video ![thumbs](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/thumbsup.gif)
(probably) no can do, man. the connection from the transmission is fluid inside the torque converter, and won't transmit power to the engine to crank it. There are those that say it can be done at speed, say 35 mph, but there is no way I would push a car to 35 mph without power, because that means powerless power steering and powerless power-assisted brakes. Please video your attempt.

Well, on AT tranny car you can jumstart the car. Here's the catch, you have to tow it behind another car so the converter can lock up and start your car. It is very bad for the tranny, and usually it will only happen at a decent speed like 35mph as posted earlier.

You CAN do it on autos- i'm just not sure if you can do it with this vehicle. I've seen it done at track events in the past several times but behind a tow vehicle. This WILL lock up your transmission if it overheats.
