8 quarts of Mobil 1 OK?
Should I fill it with one more Mobil 1 quart? Or is 8 good?
The reason I ask is because I've driven about 40 miles since and no sign or anything from the car saying my engine oil is low.
What do you guys think? Thank you in advance.
When I went 8.75 qts, the car was fine. I think if you come between 8.75-9qts, you are fine.
BUT put your car in dyno mode and she will give you a real time oil level when started. DONT FORGET TO TAKE IT OUT OF DYNO MODE. Doesn't happen automatically.
Instructions here. I don't know why but this guy just has a killer voice.
and while you are driving the oil level will change, but don't but dyno mode on. no need to reach that page.

just for giggles what does your book say about a e63 and a bmw m5? put 5w30 in an m5 and you will spin your crank bearing in about 5 min of driving

I put 9.5 in the car and keep the extra in the trunk.

while winter its min 7C and can reach up to 30C.
so i think 10W60 is better for me. and as i said, i have been using it since a bought my first car, and no problems untill now.
i always race my 55 and drive it hard every moment.
