Before/After *Need sound advice*

Now my question is, how much better do 19s ride with a 35 series tire?
The 20s with 245/35/20s and 285/25/20s setup rode and handled like garbage. It felt like a land yacht compared to the stockers.
I would prefer a bit bigger than 18s, but if it's going to be remotely close to the feel of the 20s, I am going to shy away. My area doesn't have the best roads, at all.
Also, How much sturdier are monoblocks opposed to 3 piece?
Thanks in advance!
Regards,

19's are probably the perfect compromise between performance (weight), looks, and ride quality...Ride quality goes down a little depending on tires, but not much...They're a little more susceptible to pothole damage, but that might be due more to performance lightweight forged wheels...Beats me on the monoblocks vs. 3 piece...Mine are 1 piece, but BBS is known to be a bit softer...They run out in spec and road force balance fine, but they are all a little bent up...The lighter the wheel, the easier to bend usually...Not always, but the weights gotta come out of somewhere...

Even with 19's, you may want to look into a camber kit. The inner barrel is significantly more prone to "Taco Syndrome" when there is neg camber. Front and back would benifit, and then when you do hit a pothole, the whole tire can absorb the hit as opposed to just the inside barrel. Based on that bend you have, a 19 would have probably been damaged. Thats a guess.
Love the plate.. and I also love the blacked out badging...

I ride on 19" Monoblock VIs with Vred tires, staggered. It's very quiet on any kind of pavement but noticeably louder than 18s when driving over rough patches and rumble strips.

Care to share pics and details of your setup?
This goes for anyone else with 19s. I would love to see how much different they look, than 20s.
Thanks again for the help!

Not too concerned about noise, as much as I am having to dodge potholes(of all sizes) to keep from jarring my teeth out.![rolf](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/rofl.gif)

If you're getting Monoblock VIs, 285's will fit the rear but depending on the tire you choose the side wall might be rounded and bulge out a little, which is ok if that's the look you want. The rims are intended for use with 275's.
Edit: My car is not lowered with SDS or by any other means, so I'd imagine your car will look lower with 19's.

Unfortunately I've been out of work for a few weeks, on medical leave, without pay. No paychecks coming in, but plenty of Dr. bills going out. Not to mention UPS lost my Panerai 112 I sent to service.
Will probably end up searching and search for the perfect P40s on the pre-owned market.
