EC has new injectors - thoughts???

I saw this link on Facebook --- What do you guys think? Some members were posting issues with their lack of fuel and worked very hard to determine and fix their fuel problems --- Is this the answer? and what cars really NEED these? 600 fly horse power cars -- ?? 650? 700?

Cool! 700cc on a V8 running 80PSI fuel pressure is alotttt of fuel. How do cars idle and drive with them in?

IMHO anyone making over 530wrhp should be running these I also hear that they also make for better tuning. I would like to know is it possible to gain hp up top with these?

Make more power? Not unless you cant go WOT because you are running out of injector.

lol, wow your fast! I just added them!

Yes we have done a ton of research and data logging and finding around 510whp the magic number to where you start to see injectors going static at the top of 4th.

We had some made for a few customers to test and all has gone well.

Also with previous tuning customers, we will rescale the tune for free for you to take advantage of the extra fuel!

With the new tune, idle was perfectly fine and they are making great power. Exotic-metal is currently running them in his car and should make for some great numbers in the texas mile coming up in october!

Is that $699 for a set, or for an individual injector? If that is an individual price, they must come with a bj

(or a bj everyday for a year)

Jerry has two sets on order for me. They'll find themselves at home with 2 CLS 55s

Can't wait to see how these perform!

Looking forward to the results. I love it when others test out mods first.

Is there a chance of getting anything in the 550-600 range? I don't plan on modding anymore and I'm just looking for a little extra fuel.

Is this also a direct drop in or would any modifications be needed?

1) Remove air boxes and engine cover.
2) Remove throttle body.
3) Loosen hose clamps on AMG air tanks located on rear of engine near firewall.
4) Remove Air tanks and leave bolts in air tanks, as they are different lenghts.
5) un-bolt main fuel line to fuel rail (17mm wrench and located on drivers side). un-clip wires from injectors. Then lightly pull up and rock injectors out of head manifold inlets.
6) Put tape over head manifold inlets, to protect from dirt and any dropped parts..
7) Use needle nose pliers to pull off injector clips and twist out old injectors. Drain gas out first and dispose of per EPA standards or re-use..
8) Now STOP and admire your new super red injectors and note how much larger the spray holes are. Also notice the nozzle spray cup on the end.
9) use light motor oil and lube up o rings on new injectors and twist into fuel rail.

NOTE: These injectors flow over 700CC at 65PSI and up! They install and car will run and idle fine.. You will need Jerry to flash a new tune that he has built, so that everything will be calibrated and A/F set for max power..

I have will be getting a custom dyno tune for my setup. Will I need to have any ECU changes to take advantage of the larger injectors? Can I get a stock ECU upgraded to allow for the larger injectors and then have the car custom tuned?

Thanks Jerry. I notice the stock one has a boss on the left hand side and the aftermarket one doesn't. Not knowing much about injectors what is that used for, clips? If this is the case what did you guys do to remedy this?

Can this same manufacturer work with you on possibly finding a 550cc injector? I don't plan on modding anymore and something more in that line would be great.

BTW....I sent you an email .

that brings up a good question -- these injectors are 700cc -- Bassn desires 550cc -- my question is What are the stock injectors _ _ _cc?

the ec's are rated at 700cc at 65psi "66lb" (rough guess)

im probably speaking out of my *** but id guess that the EC injectors are a %50 gain over stock

Yes, they are. I just had mine tested, cleaned, calibrated, and flowed by RC Eng. As others stated in previous threads they do flow 410cc's at 43 psi. If you look at the attached picture in the upper left hand corner you'll see a 410, the full description of that is STDF 410. I'm assuming that's the factory flow for the bosch injectors.

yup you r right. i remmeber it was in the low 400 range. but they are sure not 700cc.

but if my car is not lean, i don't think they are needed in this stage, i may go for them if a install larger TB, CAMS, C/F intake box. if the car still needed some fuel.

however, it is a great product and the first for our cars. EC guys are doing great

I beleive they Units being sold by EC are actually 550cc(50LB/HR) vs 410cc(38LB/hr) at 43.5 psi. Because of the high rail pressure on our cars, they flow more. 750cc @ 80PSI and 690cc at 65psi. 410's to 550's is not that big of a jump and is recommended for other supercharged V8's with similar displacement( Think Shelby Mustang).

I don't remember exactly but they are small. Smaller than the 55k injectors. You have to remember that you have 12 of them vs 8
