one wheel burnout in CL65-WTF?????
i made a pass tonight in my cl65. 86deg/+4800ft DA-windy!
1.71 60ft
11.37@122.6(previous best:11.40@123. 52deg/+2000ftDA)
car felt great off the line. eased on the gas with about a 1000rpm launch.
the 2nd pass not so good. i spun off the line with 2.3 60ft after a good smokey burnout with a embarrassing 12.5@120.
when i got back to the staging lanes, a few guys said that my left wheel was not spinning during my burnout. thier is obviousley a prob. is this something you guys have seen or heard about? do i need an aftermarket diff?
mods- Speedriven ecu, 3 inch exhaust turbos back-200 cell cats-burns mufflers,K&N filters, trunk resovoir,91/100 oct mix.

You could try Quaife and see if they have one. not sure.

I believe the same quaff that fits the e55 fits the V12's.
Gilken is a very nice unit, with benefits in it's own right, but as mentioned....big bucks compared to the Q.
Good luck.

I really am stunned! I thought ALL 65s came standard with LSD.
Is it just the SL or S or somethin?
WOW! Why would you put that much juice in a car (V12) and not make LSD standard.
Weird.

You need an LSD (you have an open diff now). Until then I would recommend stopping with your rear tires in the water and giving them a quick spin. Slowly go forward until your tires are at the edge of the water and begin your burnout. If you can have someone watch and make sure both are spinning that would be great. If only one is spinning stop and move back into the water until you can get both to spin. Hard to explain, let me know if you understand what I'm saying
I believe the only V12 that came with an LSD was the SL65

What a trip. It's confirmed. Only the SL65 came with LSD.
For that AMG gets a rare from me.

Kleemann has a good LSD upgrade for the stock non LSD unit. I doubt the Renntech upgrade would be as cost effective. I had to purchase an entire center section from mercedes and did the upgrade which was approximately 5K. The upgrade only is listed on the kleemann.com site.
