My E55 is for sale...
Gents,
It has been a tremendous honor to have been part of this community for so long, but the time has come for me to move on. I feel my car represents a lot of what this community has built and equally feel it is a tremendous opportunity for someone who is in the market. You just will not find very many of these cars like mine out there.

This car does 12.0 best pass. I see an E63 does 12.1 stock. I hear of E55s doing 11s stock. Given all these additions and 482 RWHP what gives? Just curious, definitely a great looking ride.

Stock E55's do not trap with with this car! I've been high 10's in my Buick with the same mph.

Pretty sure he knows that
But it seems he is interested in selling the entire package to someone who can appreciate all the hard work and money he put into setting up one of the nicest E55's ever.
BTW those are the OEM 19's off his SL65.

I really appreciate all the kind words from everyone. It really has been an honor and privilege to be a part of this particular community as long as I have.
To the discussion about ET, yes I realize that the ET is not the greatest given the MPH, however as I said in my original post I tend to focus on running the car in a straight street setup. This means off the street up to the lights without even lowering tire pressure. Given that I don't hit the drag strip very often these days, coupled with mediocre track conditions, a 12.0 was the best I was able to muster that particular day. The car had the power but putting it down off the line was difficult to say the least. I'm sure with drag radials and good conditions this car could ET very well, and even power wise has more in it if someone is willing to go beyond what I have now (rear reservoir, etc). I am not one to make excuses but I figured an explanation was in order.
I am now uploading interior pictures.
Thanks again everyone.

It took 2 years for me to drop from the 12.7 to the 12.2 range. Aside from good weather, good burnout, good launch, etc.... it took a lot of practice, advise, and support from many fellow enthusiasts. In addition, there was a lot of tinkering with the Mercedes tranny software (of which they have so many freakin different versions by the way ) as well as ECU software. And to be clear, I am not talking about aftermarket ECU tunes or any type of third party flashes or anything like that. These are all 100% Mercedes software obtained and installed at the dealership by a Mercedes/AMG technician.... I just happen to try so many different variations and different settings along with special TSBs (which were apparently optional and not required) until I found the right combo of settings for my car. Some of these were incredibly hard to find even for big dealerships, but thanks to my tech (Mike), we reached our goal. The guy is a genius and knows how to chase down every little piece of information or setting for our cars
Back on topic, I think 12.0 on street tires from a car with that much power and torque is actually very good
