WHEELS GETTING STOLEN IN NYC, THESE CARS DONT HAVE SHOCK ALARMS ON THE SUSPENTION!
I live in a fairly safe neighborhood in new york, however there has been numerous cases of wheel theft in my area.
last year i woke up to find my new m3 sitting on bricks, right in my driveway.
I remember my 2009 sl550 had an alarm that went off anytime the car was jacked up without being unlocked.
Wheel locks no longer help wheel theft and i noticed that my new e63 doesnt siren when the car is lifted or jacked up, i guess theres no shock alarm on these beasts.
I need your help guys, what aftermarkert alarm can i install to protect against wheel theft. all ideas welcome, thanks.
im starting off with two set of wheel locks, whats next.

I got these originally to protect my wheels (I live in NY too) and ever since then it has been hard to keep them on the shelf.

We bring all this stuff in from Japan, they really have some neat accesories over there. We are currently bringing in some wheel locks that have a cover on them that needs to be removed in order to take them off. the only way to take the cover off to get to the lug is with a special magnetic tool that magnetically releases the cover. I should have my sample set here in a week and we are going to start testing fitments on the wheels once we get them.
If you have any questions give me a call or just ask here. If you would like a set I usually always have them in stock. They have become very popular sellers for us.

??? You're considering an "aftermarket alarm to prevent your wheels from getting stolen..." which will easily set you back double or triple that for a low system that won't prevent your wheels from getting stolen anyway.
Is $300 too expensive to protect your wheels in a crappy area where you KNOW wheels get stolen?

As far as "protecting" wheels. If they realy want them - there is nothing you can do. Worse, they can pull a gun to your head and take the whole car. That is the main reason I moved from a big city. S..t can happen anywhere, but the smaller the place - the smaller the chance.

They are nothing like regular locks that offer a level of protection but sacrifice in the appearance department. Until now, I don't know anyone with a Benz that has ever really cared what the lugs look like. People buy new rims that appeal to their sense of style but they leave on the old ugly lugs. It's like buying new sneakers and putting in old laces. Now we are selling chrome lug bolts, these lug bolts, getting colored lug bolts and the people that are ordering them are really happy with how it adds to the look of the car.
To warrant the price of these lugs I would expect that you would make the visual appearance of them your priority in choosing them and the the protection that they offer is secondary. If protection is all you want and you don't want to spend this kind of money, I think I could find a way to offer you locks at a more reasonable price that are still unique in how they function.

I have some new stuff coming in and, if it fits, I will list them up here by the end of next week. It will probably satisfy those looking for a way to secure their wheels.
