Brakes: OEM, Akeebono, or Porterfield
I asked a few weeks ago Ak vs. Hawks but came to realize Hawks don't make pads for the E55.
My car guy is pushing OEMs.
I like the OEM performance...it's the brake dust I can't stand.
I've heard pretty good feeback on the Akeebono's. Other than the possible noise, is there a downside vs. OEMs?
How do the Porterfields compare to the Ak performance and price?
Opinons?

Sold - 05' E55
Akebono's on my car with no problems. I changed all the rotor's at the same time. DON'T forget use plenty of the lube (anti squeak).

I'd go with OEM rotors and Akebono pads. I don't see any reason to stick with OEM pads, especially with the brake dust considered. I've heard good things about Porterfields, but the price difference between them and the Akebonos wasn't justified, in my opinion.
