Awesome
Exactly what I have been waiting for, stock look with all the aftermarket extras.
Question though:
Why does the parking sensors no longer work? Are we talking only the audible alerts, or are my sensors just going to stop and not even give me my visual cues?
Surround Sound
I do not want to lose the surround sound.
Not sure how are systems are powered now, but I thought they were powered by amps, not the head unit itself.
Is there not way to hook this unit up and keep all the speaker channels I currently have?
How many and which channels does our current headunit power?
I definitely want to keep 5.1, especially when wanting to add a DVD feature!
Also want to keep my visual parking cues working as I delayed a recent 63 front conversion due to my parking sensors. I dont care about the audible alerts as they are annoying anyways.
Thanks again Shardul for the find. Please, anyone that buys post your comments and thoughts.

I have many contacts in China since my business has been sourcing from there for the past 5-7 years. I might be able to find the direct factory and get us a great deal. Let me know.

Just heard back. 600 usd including the lastest maps plus 20 shipping and 85 for for the bluetooth nterface. The stock 6 disc changer will no longer work (obviously). I just sent another email asking about the 5.1 surround sound.

Logic7 is proprietary of Harman/JBL, so if you want it just add a JBL MS-8 processor and you have all L7 functions back (with a lot more )
these chinese companies made something really great .. even if not ready yet for top MB classes, IMHO
should they integrate with MOST (and it's not that hard nor expensive to get it .. they just need to associate with the MOST association !)
and, hopefully, conceal all those additional SD slots under a flip, .. together with a more rationale layout of buttons .. that would be ultimative .. and they could mark some more $$

so, .... Encore un effort !!

I will be at CES in Jan and I will get the low down and may even get to play with it. I am not sure of the qualilty it also looks like it does not do sat radio that is a major fail in my book. But will see. I saw this and thought about yanking out my Kenwood but it has a lot of features this thing does not have. The concept is cool and I am curious but not sure I would actually put that in my car.

Tibi did you talk to Jeff at J&T?
Here's what i've found:
The piece is about $700. Way cheap in comparison to a OEM video Comand swap. Unfortunately the guy only does BMW units at this time. He did send me a link to a write up he did and mentioned that he would help us if there is an actual interest for these units.

It has SD card / USB capability so the software is easy to hack and the NAV has a lot of different skins that are available online. I imagine it would be very easy to watch video in motion as well.

The parking sensors will still work but I was told that you lose the audio since it come through your center channel speaker using the stock HU.

Yes I spoke to Jeff as well, and I am currently waiting on an email from Shirley and FeiMiao from dynavin. They gave me the pricing, but have not yet responded to my email asking about what will/will not work with the new unit.

I may be in for some type of group buy. So since this unit has nav, does that mean for cars that don't have it will have it with this head unit? Or is it integrated into the factory one?

Actually, you need to realize they are the manufacturer and probably don't do direct sales. If you don't do direct sales you don't list prices. The prices need to be stated by the retailer in your particular area or country since exchange rate and taxes differ.

Does our stock system use MOST to get the signal to the amp ? and then out speakers are wired from the AMP ? Looking at this it would seem we need new amps or wiring to the speakers from the head unit.
Does it use the stock sat antenna ?

We do not know yet if it works with pre-facelifted W215 and W220. And you would have to get the expensive wood frame as well. Big one in W215.
