Dynavi DO NOT make this unit. They make a totally different one.

 

DO NOT TRUST THAT!!!!!!! They dont know **** of that...Just think it is the same in all W220....Wait until it is released and tried. My tip is it will only work in 04-05 models.

 

I'm going to contact them myself and see what is going on with availability, price, features,etc.

 

Dont trust what they answer though...They dont know what they are talking about, I have much trouble with this and always have to figure all out my self with many disapointments..

Bashing??? I try to help you from doing the same mistakes I have???? The only MB unit that is relaesed right now is for the W203. No other units is ready for release. I think W220 for example is in Feb and W211 Jan-Feb.

 

OK, so what are these mistakes you made? All of your answers above are very short and cryptic at best. Your trying to tell people not to deal with dynavin yet offer nothing to support that. What gives? If you actually know something, it would be nice if your could share this. I sent an email of to dynavin, await their response.

 

I think I say what is needed? But yes I am short since I have so little time right now to go into it and didnt feel it was any hurry yet since it was not even released and thoght I get back on that as soon as this X-Mas rush was over....Hang in there..I will help...That is my reason for being here.

Still waiting for an email response, be honest, vendors are so hit and miss. Many promises, wait till next month, were working on it, it's in testing, etc etc etc. Get tired of the BS after a while. Just be honest and own up. The same crap regardless of the board I'm on. I tell you, I have been in the automotive field for over 16 years, I have never seen so many shady people in any other industry than automotive. The good thing is, it creates more opportunities for the few good one's.

 

Exactly....What I mean...And when they finally answer it is incorect info and they dont know what they talk about....

I have asked them for example about the different setups all MB cars have..Like with the MOST fiber and the different sound packages. And they didnt have a clue about this first. Then thay say it will come in Feb with MOST fiber but they dont know wich setups it will work for and so on...So it is trail and error testing to do when it is released. For now all they know is that it works for cars with no external amp. And that is not many models in the W211 line.

 

I could not agree with you anymore and recently had a sponsor promise me something which got pushed off for like five months and I was like **** him and his bull****! I will not name names, but it is annoying as **** especially when they claim to be one thing and they are the total opposite.

Shady people in the automotive business that is for sure!

 

I'm looking to get this too for my '03 W211. What I learned from Kent at Car Audio Craze is that the steering wheel controls work including phone but the dash audio menu will no longer function. He also said it is plug and play in that it doesn't create any faults in MOST but it doesn't interface with any of the other components of the car with the exception of the steering wheel controls. I'd like to hear from somebody that's installed one of these to learn what other problems this unit may cause. I'm dying to get bluetooth, ipod and nav in my car and this seems like the best way to do that.

 

I was browsing around alibaba.com and there are many variations of these now.

 

That is what I said all the time.. But there will be a version in Feb with MOST.

 

So the company that you do not trust, you are trusting to release a working version in Feb? Is that what you are trying to state, or am I missing your sarcasm?

You never know with Chinese sellers because some have great items and others sell garbage. The best way to know is have someone test one out who HAS the capability to explain what works and what does not Making comments without explanation tends to make people weary

 

Why any of this is rational when you can fit an iPad onto the w211 dash is a mystery to me...

Hualingan says Feb after their spring celebration wich is Feb 3rd. That is what they say and I can not say more than what they say to me. Just wanted to share the info I got. Then if it is true or not only time will tell.

 

So, what are you talking about? Are there multiple vendors you are referring too? Do you actually have SOLID knowledge that an aftermarket head unit is being released shortly? You come across as someone with a vested interest such as a distributor, certainly not as an enthusiast.

Perhaps I am missing the obvious somewhere and perhaps you are just trying to help, but you confuse people the more you post, not help, unless you can actually offer an explanation on the things you have stated.
