Hualingan for S-Class "final" clarification
Hi Chris and everybody else,
First of all, thank you for all the contributionsnto the forum. I just discovered MBWorld and it is extremely useful for me.
My questions are directed to Chris on the Hualingan he talks about, that I understand it is Model: HL-8800GB-1, right? My car is an S-Class W220 2004 so it is MOST, with a Comand APS NTG1.
It would be great if you simply can add yes, not or a comment to every point :-)
1. The product is good quality in general.
2. It is totally plug and play, so it does not need to substitute or add any cables out of the device environment (i. e., booth).
3. It allows using most of mobile phones, even iPhone 3/4, with bluetooth, accepting the agenda and showing caller's name on both screens: device and speedometer. It keeps steering wheel controls.
4. It allows to upload TomTom and other navigators maps and radars, still showing directions on the speedometer.
5. I can connect an iPod with bluetooth for music and video playback, with play lists in both screens.
6. It has an optional DVB-T tuner.
7. It keeps steering wheel controls for everything.
8. Does it includes an iPod / iPhone physical connector if you need the battery charges while working.
A final question (sorry for my ignorance): I do not know if my car already has a cable for easily add a rear view camera supported by the device, nor if it has a subwoofer from factory.
If you had the patience for reading this post and the time for answering it, thank you again! I am confident it will be helpful for some other Mercedes enthusiast!

I have been following this thread for awhile hoping to get some insight with some headunit to replace my comand in my 2007 MB ML350 which happen to not have a TV input for rear view camera upgrade. I am hoping that someone can shade so light as to which headunit that I can get that allow me to upgrade the rear view camera and still preserve all the old functions such as nav, cd changer, ipod input and blutooth.
Thanks.
Thanks.

Did anyone get the Dynavin DVN-MBE-MOST? I emailed them yesterday and got a reply that their systems are not compatible with US models. Is this true? Any have it installed and operational on a 2003 E class?

That is a very interesting response.... we have heavily tested these and one other brand for dealers that were initially interested (hired for testing)... bottom line, they are PURE junk and the MOST barely functions.

Cartronics...are there any that you do not consider to be not junk? I would like to replace my wife's radio in her 04 c320 with something that has blue tooth and gps.

We would recommend a dash kit and a common aftermarket if it is today.
....Wait about 3-4 weeks and we will have an Android based unit out.

Hi all
So has anyone had some courage and installed one of Hualingams into a Merc?
I did.![Smilie](https://mbworld.org/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)
Alright unsurprisingly I have some troubles.
Originally I had Audio 20 with CD changer and a woofer on a back shelf in my E270 CDI 2003.
After the installation CD changer doesn't work, I'm not bothered really about that, I knew it from the very beginning.
Could someone explain me please how to get the subwoofer working? I don't want to cut the wires just now as it's still in testing mode and I would like to keep an option of reversing everything back to the original state if the head unit turns a complete waste. Also phone answering and hang up buttons on the steering wheel don't work when I connect my iPhone via bluetooth. Apart of that everything else is working fine for now.
Many thanks.
