Hi fellow mercedes owners.
I am currently a medical student and want to get a loan and purchase an amg vehicle. I would mod whichever one i purchase, so which is the most mod friendly? Also, which amg has the least problems to deal with in the long run? I am looking into an e55 amg or c63 amg. My father has sl65 amg so I would not get anything in that class. Whichever AMG car it must be under 50K.

Go for the E55. Just a few mods will take you to 600hp.

 

e55 or sl55 or cls55

 

Make sure you get warranty

 

ive narrowed it down to:
e55 amg, c63 amg, and cl65 amg.
I would get warranty on all of them.
Which would you choose? Is there a tool to delete codes for mercedes? For bmw it is called a bt cable.
Also, what mods would you put on these? If you have any please let me know!

Anyway, I posted in those threads not for myself, but for my grandparents who don't know how to use the computer. (Old people and technology).
On my mom's side, he has a e500. Dad's, a c63. I found it easier to make it seem like I owned these cars rather than having to explain that I was searching for my grandparents who know absolutely no english.
I had a cls500 hence the first post, but I got into an accident and then I purchased a 335xi sedan.

Please don't get too distracted. Answer my question, I just want opinions from younger crowds. Also, I did not get "owned"

 

I would say C63, and my reason why starts at minute 5:10 of the video below. Myself and Clarkson stand in a similar position. Also a well setup C63 runs 11.5 1/4 mile which is about the same as an E55 modded and with a better build quality reputation. The C63 has less moving parts to go wrong like the supercharger on the 55 motors.

Wow, me too... I actually post for my grandma. She owns the modded SL. She drives to the country club on Wednesdays to play bridge and wanted to be faster than all the other ladies that drive SLs also.

To the OP, I was between the E55 and the CL65 when I was in the market. I just wanted a sedan so I chose the E55.

Do I regret it? Not in the slightest. But there are days I wish I could do it all over again and get the V12TT monster

Haha thanks man! when i got my 335xi, I drove to my papous house and left the keys in the car. I went inside to get some fresh baklava my yiayia made and when I got back in my car i noticed that on in the middle of the dash there was an ikona mounted.

 

What mods are on your grandparents E500 and C63?
