Question for the pros. DAS question. What is Off Line Coding? Any ideas
John Coupland over at JC Recordings just announced a new crack for the Star Das that will allow you access to a bunch of restricted areas (can't post them all as he is not a sponsor) but a few are
Instrument Cluster (In DAS) r
Off Line Coding
204 Access In DAS
Electronic Transmission Control
Adaptive Braking System (ABR) Special Fuction 1
Adaptive Braking System (ABR) Special Fuction 2
Electronic Stability Program (ESP)
Air Conditioning
Instrument Cluster (In Xentry)
Any idea what Off Line Coding is? Could this actually be a way into the ECU for programming of certain areas. Just curious what you guys thought.

Thanks for getting back to me, so its only available in this version and not possible in other versions? I have read about patches/addons that enable this feature, although they do not mention which versions it works on.

The computers all have a base program and an add on that tells them how to run. The thing about it is the level das you have has that level base program. The reason it has to log into Daimler is for the add on. They're really just build codes distributed into whatever needs that build code to opperate its part of the tasks.
