Snow and loaners
I took my car to the dealer on Thursday to get my snows mounted up. Weather reports called for a dusting in my area, so I didn't see anything wrong with snagging a C class loaner from the dealer.
I shot this picture of the C class, stuck at the bottom of my lower driveway, after I walked up to the top
There wasn't enough snow to cover the grass, but I couldn't complete the journey to the top with the equipment provided. WTF is up with cars where you can't turn off the traction control? I couldn't find an ESP button anywhere on the C300 loaner.
As soon as I'd get partially up the driveway, the wheels would spin and it would cut power until the car came to a stop, refusing to spin the tires at all. The car was hilariously bad in the white stuff.
Headed back to pick up my 500hp snowmobile and it rocked right up my driveway.
Blizzak LM60s in stock sizes. Ride and handling is acceptable, grip in the snow is really good. Can't wait to try them in more than a few inches of snow.
Bring on the snow!

Nice!
I also happened to see a certain 6-Series stuck at the bottom of your driveway too, on my home from work that night.

Yeah, the traction control is pretty crappy from time to time. When I had my C230, I always had to turn it off to get anywhere in the slightest of snow. I feel your pain. Snow tires make a HUGE difference.

I had to get back in an E* AMG, Ahmad. I wanted a fast daily driver/road trip car/dog hauler. The wagon really fits the bill.
I had a Cayenne GTS with the 6spd manual and PDCC. If you need to tow, it's the ultimate DD, IMO.
Kudos to Porsche for putting a true 3 pedal manual in the thing. I wish my E63 was a 6spd manual.
Anyway, it just didn't do it for me. I wanted a car instead of an SUV. Really happy I made the swap.

It didn't work in my garage, emoving.
When I snagged my classic Suburban, it covered me for towing my other cars and general utility. I didn't need the towing capacity of Cayenne, so I jumped back to a car for a DD. Fits me better, plus the E wagon is not as flashy as the Cayenne.
