2018 E63s, 2004 E55 AMG
I just got this code too. I haven't done anything yet though, except clear it and hope it doesn't come back. The definition i got was either faulty thermostat or coolant temp sensor. Anyone know which one it usually is on these cars?

well i replaced it today not bad just need to take off the supercharger
blet its under the charger i cleard the light hope it dont come back
i also looked under my car and i have trans fluld leaking but i think its a hose thats like $16 bucks at the stealer btw i paid $67 bucks for a new thomo

I got the same code and low coolant message and checked and my coolant was low! It happened right after I put my meziere pump on and split the cooling, so I must have left an air pocket in the line because there were no leaks. I filled it up and the coolant message went away, but was then driving around with a check engine light for like 3 months. All of a sudden a few days ago I noticed that the check engine light was no longer on, and it must have got erased when I changed my steering wheel out and had to disconnect the battery because all my settings in the car also got erased. Needless to say I am very happy

Quick question how do you do the "Check Engine Light" code check in the menu? Or do you need a special tool for this?
Mine just came on as well but I figured it was related to me needing to get the E+ service done which I'm pushing to January as I had the car completely serviced a few months back.

With all the combinations of errors on this late model stuff, it's really interesting only if they are NOT on.....

cold weather could set off the code... your coolant temp is probably under 80c
Since I have a modified Tstat.. the coolant was not reaching the correct temp and ECU gave the CEL.
I cleared it with my OBD2.
Nothing to worry about unless the coolant temp is getting higher than normal.
