Car and Driver just broke this and I just don't get it. Maybe they are only gonna sell C63s in the US?? I thought the 6.2 won't pass new euro emissions.

Gosh I hope they don't skip the E class with the turbs!!

My guess is we won't see the E with TT's until its facelift due in 2014.

I'm glad AMG stayed with the 6.2 for the C, I'm pretty sure people would agree with me, a high revving, N/A would be better for a small car like the C63. But I hope AMG doesn't cut the C from the MCT party.

The SLS will keep the NA motor, too. The CAFE regs are across the fleet average and not each car. If the average of MB production vehicles can fall within the regs, then there can be some 6.2 motors out there.

I could be wrong but I didn't think it was a Euro emissions issue with the NA motor but simply fuel efficiency with US CAFE rules. At least that's what the auto journals say.....

Last I heard, BMW will be keeping the NA motor for the M3.

I actually like that they're keeping the engine a little bit longer because that will allow the aftermarket scene to continue product support. Also, it will offer another choice for those who prefer NA.

C63 just needs a better gearing...

with a simple tune and headers is plenty fast.

i like the move keeping NA. Its a great engine no doubt.

as far the E keeping the NA.. no chance.

The E 550 is getting a 4.6 TT and there is no way it would keep the 6.2L for the AMG version. The E is the bread and butter for AMG.

E55 then E63, now back to an E55
I'm not surprised.....
Mainly because they never allowed the CLK55 to have the supercharger, it was that naturally aspirated 5.5 while other cars had kompressor

The new TT is more fuel efficient. They will be compelled to move it into the E

Hear, hear! Wonder if the '55' badge will make a comeback...?
