i finally pulled the trigger and picked up a pewter metallic 2005 E55 AMG tonight. Two years ago, same time i picked up the 2006 E500 4Matic which brought me to this board/forum. Since then i really wanted an E55 but didnt want to let go of the 4Matic due to the inclement weather we get here in Metro DC area. Traded in the wife's car and came home with this. In my garage next to the 4matic and other pics are from the dealer listing. Driving home, what a big difference in the two cars!!!!

Hopefully by summer/spring will start modding it

Swap the wheels from the e500 (if they clear brakes), grille, and tint the car.
Total cost: $200 for tint, and you'll be happy until springtime comes around.

Yes this was the one i PM'd you. Ended up getting it for $24k +TTT. Decided to get the additional Easycare warranty for 48months/50k miles for peace of mind. I really wanted to buy one of your E55's but just bad timing.

A decent set of wheels and true snow tires will get your through DC winter (at least most days). Won't in Iowa though

The only options it has are distronic seats, auto trunk release,navi/command, xenon lights. No parktronic, keyless go, panny, or engine start button. My 4matic had more options, heated/cooled seats, panny roof.

Car has 55k miles on it and was a trade in. The prev owner picked up a M56x. I called MB dealer w/VIN and the owner kept up to date on the maintenance. I traded in my wife's 09 Nissan Versa w/8k miles on it and got $9500, and I put down $8k.

Calling for snow this weekend, so will take the 4matic since its already dirty from the last snow we had last week.
