Quote: You gotta be kidding me. Only on this forum will you see someone flipping out that their family car got salt on it, in the Winter, in Canada.

Edit: To answer your question, my car has been much much dirtier. In fact, I washed it on Friday for the first time in 2.5 months. It still looks and drives just like it always has.
Two different perspectives my friend. No offense, but your thought process is probably much like my wife's if you have not washed your own car in two and a half months, but that is just not the way I am. That is what separates cars that are just average condition when they come up for sale from the 'oh wow' cars that look almost new and sell faster and for more money. Maintenance of cosmetics as well as the mechanical aspect. Also, having pride in yourself, your belongings, and the upkeep of both, is typically reflective of oher parts of you too.

Also, since she is my wife, she knows that I am O.C.D. (in reality, NOT just in figure of speech) and having the car come back looking like a dump site inside and out just ticks me off because, among other things, it shows an utter lack of respect for my vehicle.

Quote: Having a dirty car in winter is life mate, Canadian roads and a black car are never going to be a good mix. My cars use to look like that after 20 minutes on the highway after washing them, just wash it again...

However, that being said - I lose it when food wrappers (or anything else) are left inside the car, that grinds me to no end. You can't control what gets on the outside but you sure as hell can on the inside. My wife did that once and once only.
.....so then the acres of green beans, cheesy poofs, bread, and other food crushed into the seats, door panels, side pockets, and rear shelf, would have been something where you would say I was more justified? Because there was a LOT of that in there too.

LOL!! Now THAT made me laugh.

Umm, yes, absolutely. As I mentioned just a few food wrappers would and has been enough for me to get upset. Acres of garbage left inside the car is unacceptable on all levels, a dirty exterior in winter is sign that the car Gods think you should have bought it in white...

LOL!! I actually almost did buy an E63 in white. The only thing that kept me from that particular car was that the dealer tricked me and said there was never any paintwork, and I came to find out it had been hit in the side. The car was beautiful though, and I would probably trade mine plus cash for another E63 in white in a heartbeat if the opportunity arose.

I love white MB's, very clean looking. Truth be told though, it really is hard to get a better looking E63 in any other color than black, it's just plain mean/classy/sexy looking. The new E550 coupe in black is also quite stunning but if I trade up to one this year I'll get one in white, good color for Dubai.

Quote: Spend about $800 on a celing mounted heater and $800 on a power washer. A quick hot water power wash and then pull her into the 65 degree garage and it makes for a great detail booth!
I have taken your advice and purchased a garage heater system that will heat the entire garage in less than 10 minutes to a consistent 65 - 70 degrees. Additionally, I have someone coming out to the house to see what we need to do to either insulate my current garage door, or replace it with an insulated one.

So far, here is the first stage of clean-up on the E63. I just took these pictures an hour or so ago. She is getting closer to the way I like. I just need a few days of no distractions to get it back to 100%.

My other car is white, and I love the look of the white, along with the rarity.

With the E63 the mean look of it in black is the first thing I noticed, and also was what my buddy who went with me to look at it noticed when I test drove it initially. Universal praise for the fact that it looks evil in all black is what has me now caving in and trying to source nice quality dark wheels, carbon fiber front and rear splitters, a black grille, and some other items of overall stealth.

Care to share what you purchased? Something permanently installed, or portable? I have long wanted to get something similar...

I have 6 cars. The reason she drove the E63 is that I wanted to make sure she and our 18 month old daughter were as safe as humanly possible in case they got into an accident on the long drive. The E63 is like a bank vault. I suggested to her that maybe getting rid of her Evo IX and getting her own E55 or E63 would be the solution. That did not go well.

Since this is the second page I figured I would copy the picture of interest.

Did she tell you why the little inset for the tow hook was so clean?

Just say'in.

However, between hot women and hot machines, give me the woman.

Here is what she can look like with my wheels dont mind the front calipers in the rear it was just a quick photoshop. Also the front wheels are on the rear to so your not seeing the bigger lips in the rear however this gives you a better prospective. Enjoy

very OT but I just wanted to add, one time I went on a road trip in my C63 (it was fairly new) and took it to the dealer right after because I used to take advantage of the free weekly car washes.. It looked about how yours did in the OP. The guy walked up to tell me that the car wash section/dept was closed but when he saw my car so filthy he reopened it, lol.
