Extended Warranty 4yr/48K $5000
Hi All,
I'm a newbie to this e55 forum. I have a 04 e55 with 38,000 miles. Is it worth buy a fidelity warranty for $5000 dollars? It will extend the warranty for 4 yrs. and cover the car around 86,000 miles.
I had a mercedes clk previously so I'm aware of potential maintenance cost but wanted to know what other e55 owners thought.
I did do a search but it seems like most people had the mb warranty still at this low of miles.
Forgot to mention it's a platinum plan.
Thanks,
Kevin

um, assuming you dont drive more than 12000 miles per year, you are essentially paying $100 a month for 4 years to prevent the inevitable...
chances are that you will far-exceed $5000 worth of warranty related work over that time-period.
i dont see why that is a difficult decision to make..

Warranty is a must on an AMG. Parts and labor are expensive for this platform, and it is very possible that you may acquire $5000 in repair costs over the next 4 years.

Thanks guys.
Chawkins,
How has your experience with one republic been?
The fidelity platinum plan does not cover maintenance. Are there warranties that cover maintenance as well?

Really? Most be your dealerships plan, i'm holding a fidelity platinum plan in my hand right now that lists a plethora of maintenance items.

If you are talking about maintenance like failed components such as fuel pumps, transmission, air suspension; yes this fidelity platinum plan covers items like that.

Hi All,
I ended up getting the fidelity warranty for $4500. $250 deductable, 4 years 48000 miles. The dealer told me I couldn't get the platinum warranty because my car was no longer under a warranty coverage. Parts will be mercedes oem parts.
I'm not sure if this a deal or not but this one was one of the warranties that the dealer uses and has had experience with.
