I'm getting anoise, a somewhat squeaky noise when my HVAC unit is on. It only makes the nouse when the blower is on the lower side. When i turn it up it goes away completely. I figure its the fan itself. ANyone else experience this noise and is there a simple way to fix it?

Thanks in advance.

Mine does a similar thing. It is more of a squeaky "tick". It only does it when the heat/air is blowing on the lower speeds. When I crank it to full, it goes away.

That's the exact problem... It's very annoying.

Mine does the same thing. Really annoying. I was wondering if the fan needed to be replaced or lubricated or something

Mine does this... Annoying, but haven't done anything to it yet... Adjusting the speed does get rid of the problem...

very easy to replace , you need to take the panel under the gove box off.

Are you assuming it is the fan? Or did you solve the problem a few of us are having by actually diagnosing and replacing the fan. I just want to make sure this is what my problem is before purchasing the fan. Definitely appreciate your insight.

Yes it is your fan on low speed the fan wobbles and makes noise.

If it is a squeek noise at low speed when the fan is cold, I had it also. Thankfully the Chrysler Service Plan paid to have it replaced, along with my second set of motor mounts. To replace the fan alone it was $1,100.

I've lubricated the fan and it lasts for a couple weeks to a couple months and then comes back - I may not be using the right oil. In any event, it's very easy to take out. There is a thread about how to do it, but all you need is a 10mm driver and a T25 torx and it comes right out - located above passenger wheel well under glove box. I've also tried to lubricate it by going from the top side behind the cabin air filter under the hood - that doesn't work at all. You have to get the oil to drip down the shaft from the other side.

I mentioned it when my car was in for service. It was the axial blower motor, they replaced it under warranty - so if you have a warranty, give it a shot

Is this the correct fan for our application? Any issues with the install or is it straight forward? Just to confirm, to access the fan motor, the interior panel under the glove box must be removed. Is it right there once removed or are you fishing through wires and other parts to reach the bolts?

Thanks,
Todd
