Are you referring to the ticking sound? I'm no mechanic but sounds fine to me... Was that a cold start?

I have had 3 55s and they all sound like that. They all have a little tick. Not sure what it is but have always been told it is normal.

You gotta admit these engines are not the meanest sounding V8s you have ever heard.

I have similar sounds, took it three dealers and an indy and never said a word between any of them so they could remain objective and they all came back with the same thing...smog pump. They told me independently that the smog pumps can sound like anything from valve tap, to injector noise to another supercharger, depending on engine and ambient temps. They all told me independently to not worry about it as others on this board have been told as well. So for the first few months I worried about it, but now I just don't care, if it was going to blow up, it would have done it by now. Hope this puts your mind at ease.
Regards

Car free at the moment
To my ear, sounds better than most. I mostly hear the injectors clattering away. Completely normal idle noise. I don't hear any pulley bearings whining!
