Which one's faster
I'm considering E55 (05 or 06), E63 (07) or the CLS55 ... which one's more fun to drive ? I know E55 is awesome but what do you guys think of the CLS55 (Is it heavier than E) ?
Also, e63 isn't supercharged does the larger engine give out as much fun as the air compressed 55
? I used to have a CX-7 and just coz of the turbo in a 2.3L that car was so much fun to drive .. imagine 5.5L wwwwwwhew but I'm a little skeptical abt its reliability (IC issues, airmatic, sbc brakes yara yara..) E63 would have improved these things right ?

This has been asked to death so get ready for a few STFFs but I will give you the cliff notes. Talking stock now.....
55 engines have enormous grunt off the line/stoplight but suffer from heat issues in the summer. Quite a lot in warm climates and dead of summer.
63 stock for stock is faster than the 55 from a roll up to top speed but is no slouch and the sound is 2nd to none from the huge engine. Handling is better on the 63s as well.
For some reason the CLS55 is a bit slower than the E55. Not sure why, maybe the weight issue.
Modding is more difficult on the 63s, and still expensive (compared to ricers and chevys/ford) but very easy to get more power from the 55s.
Honestly, only way to decide is to test drive them for yourself.
Whichever you choose, YOU NEED A GOOD WARRANTY. Starting to see increased problems from the older 55s now (well more reports on the forum than a few years ago) Airmatics seems almost commonplace now and we are seeing a few more pistons popping as these cars age.

The cars you mention are different, so don't be surprised when people slam you for asking a very general question that has a thousand answers.

Remember the M6/M5 versus E55 thread that Phil finally had to close?
I think this is what's starting to happen now on MBWorld with the E55/E63:
It makes me want to get rid of my M5 b/c all the losers can finally buy beat-up high mileage early production M5's. The original owners that had the wherewithal to buy the cars new are dwindling on M5board and so is the level of intelligence and class. I hope it doesn't turn into E46fanatics...
This thread is ridiculous and closed.

It's retarded....not retarted. Retarted would be when something has lost it's tartness and then had it's tartness restored to OEM tartness levels. Therefore, it's retarted.
Couldn't resist....
Nice.
