I Want to Show you Something About Forgestar!!

Words taken from: http://thed2life.com/automotive/some...r-wheel-video/

At D2Autosport we carry forgestar wheels. They use a process called flow forming to reduce weight and add strength to a cast wheel. Check out this video of the creation of a Forgestar wheel:

It's nice that they show you they check runout, but .030 is kind of high.

I get so many compliments on my wheels. I'm sure I'd get compliments on other wheels as well, but these seem to work with the car really well!

Yes I will be getting these soon! HP mods first though. Go fast(er), then look good, that's the sequence for me.

You could classify Forgestar's as a go fast mod in my book.. The weight you save from these wheels over stock is surely good for a boat load of ponies..

+1

I lost over 30lbs with the 19's. Definitely noticed a difference in acceleration, braking and handling in relation to the stock 18's. . .

It is probably .020 or less. IIRC, a guy who was making 3 piece wheels for Porsches told me anything over .020 is where he rejects wheels. I was having problems with some other wheels that I bought for my turbo so we were discussing runout problems. I put a set of factory Porsche wheels on my friend's machine and runout was @ .005 - .010 on a set of 20+ year old wheels.

Sweet video! I certainly love my forgestars! I'm thinking about changing my calipers color and then getting pin striping done. Can this be done after the fact?

I would love a set of 18's in Gunmetal or hyper silver. I don't think they would be any lighter than my sl63 reps though. These came in low 20lb range.

I have a set of F14s in 18s (gunmetal).. I believe the fronts are 18 lbs and the rears 19 lbs, very light and a great looking wheel.. Im considering selling them for 19s, but well see.
