Android Torque application.

From there, just let it scan for PID's and then setup your gauges and go. Works better than my OT-2. The only drawback is you cannot connect a Wideband like an LM-1 to it like like the OT-2. It records logs fine. You have to email them to yourself in CSV/KML for review. I have it set for everything I need, plus you can have 6 pages of gauges to monitor everything you need. I really recommend it.

I have three concerns with mounting something to my dash
A) How secure can I really make this mount/mounting? I have the EVO with a double capacity battery and I can just see that thing coming undone and flying through the car. Destroying everything in it's path and the phone.
B) I tend to keep my phones only as long as they are the latest and greatest-they are important to my work-I am an IT Sales Consultant and my customers being able to reach me is EVERYTHING, so Does this mean I'm going to need a new mounting bracket every 8 months as this technology evolves?
C) Seriously, how clean can I make a cell on my dash look? Not to mention how nasty is this mount gonna look when there isnt a phone in it?
Although cool, I'm gonna pass on the HUD feature.
OK, time to go play for a little bit.
updates to follow......
I'm only using with Torque on my Android-EVO4G.
AND OH MY GAAAAWWWDDDD IS IT AWESOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thankfully this application will be 95 percent plug-n-play.
Once you've got the Torque app installed and the Blutooth adapter installed you will need to add the OBDII BT device to your phone---same way you would add a headset or anything else bluetooth enabled.
BUT--- IT WILL ONLY READ "PAIRED BUT NOT CONNECTED"
There is one more step will get everything talking together.
Open the Torque application. Once on the main screen, click the phone's "menu" button and a bar with "Settings" and "Quit" will pop up. Don't be a quitter and click settings.
Next, find "Choose Bluetooth Device" and click on it.
Then finally click on "OBDII"
This should save you about 45 mins of scratching your head, cussing, pulling out your hair, and thinking you got a defective Bluetooth device.
This is far and away the coolest 35 bucks I have ever spent.

Where is mine!
