E55 AMG

SICKKK!!! VALVETRONIC E55 EXHAUST

Anyone ever consider implementing a valvetronic Muffler to the E55 so that we may get the best of both worlds in terms of sound. Quiet when neccessary and wild when desired??

I know there have been electric cut outs before, but IMO they are horrible.

Here is a sick sounding CLS.....with a valvetronic setup, however the mufflers are not valvetronic. There is double piping run to the mufflers and the electronic control valve in between , blocks and switches the flow of exhaust through the piping that is rerouted straight to the tips or through the muffler!!

I would love to implement this onto my E55, what do you all think???

From what I have heard and read the cutouts seem to burn after sometime.

Hey, I heard the same thing, its hard finding a reliable one. The benefit here is the motorized unit is not in the muffler so it is a hell of alot easier to change.

I've had my cutouts for a year now and no problems... I guess after some time the motor will eventually go, but I'm sure when they do R&D they anticipate this?

No offense taken my friend , not my car and you are entitled to your opinion, but what makes you feel that way?

It was recorded in doors, but imagine implementing the same system on a 55 or 63 !! whoa it would sound even more amazing

I think it sort of souds like a capristo or tubi

if you look at the under car picture though it looks like one side of the exhaust manifold is going through the muffler and the other half straight out...weird setup

The only way I seen this working for our cars is by use of a bypass pipe that taps right before the muffler with cutout and connects back to both pairs of tips. That's the closest. Listening over earbuds though I wasn't really feeling the sound on that cls

Sounds a bit to raspy and sharp for my ears, but that is just me. Sounds like another option though which is good

Yup(indonesia). The sound is good, I would not like that exact sound, but the same setup on our cars, would sound terrific I think.

Now ideal would be getting the sound of a sls on our cars
