Suspension Overhaul parts of Ebay

What do you guys think of this kit:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...Q5fAccessories

I need to overhaul my front suspension....it's feeling sloppy and getting bad tire wear, even after alignments. I e-mailed them and the parts are not OEM, but some other german brand (forgot name).

Don't want a crappy, squeaky front end. What say you guys?

I just did that whole thing 3 weeks ago. One word of caution get the ball joint seperator and the ball joint remover/reseater. Be preapared to apply some MAJOR force to the removing and reseating of the ball joints espcially the one on the control arm!
See this posting to was really hellpful. http://diyw211balljointchange.blogspot.com/

Use this seperator http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...item5642fc3eaa

And this http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Merce...item3a63f661ac

Thanks for the info!
Are those ball joint remover/seperator specific to mercedes, or can I use one that a friend of mine has (isn't specific to Mbenz)

How long did the project take you? Any complications or things I should look out for?

The ones I showed you are specific to MB not sure about the splitter but I know the ball joint remover and installer is specific to MB.

Took about 3-4 hrs for each side. Splitting the ball joint requires a GOOD tool I broke the first one I bought and then get it replaced with the one I showed you. When it comes apart it's a violent bang. That part was easy with the right tool. Pushing the ball out is easy BUT seating it requires some SERIOUS breaker bars and 2 sets of hands and a chater bar to add to the of the breaker bar. Look at the blog post it's really helpful.

It's a Chinese knockoff. For some reason alot of you think if its made in germany it must be some gift from god.

I don't care what you do, there are plenty of other people on MBWorld who went through the same thing as I did with this. In 6 months the whole Lower Control arms bushings were fully torn and loose. I have screenshots too. Duestche Parts doesn't even care because they way they operate is that by the time they fail, its too late to open a dispute. I told you to search google and you didn't, you will find tons of info of failures right away. I don't want the OP making the mistake because uninformed people like you tell him to do so.

OP pay a little extra for the OEM stuff which will last for years. In the case with these parts remember you get what you pay for!

A Chinese knock off.. you mean a German kockoff made in China??

Anyway if you think the MB OEM is any better I had my lower control arms replaced just over a year aao and when it went for some work back in Decemeber the SA said they were torn again so how are these any worse???

I guess time will tell.

BTW I'm not telling him to do anything. I just told him about my experience.
