Hi guys i have a 07 e63 with 45k/i took out the charcoal filter about 8 month ago since then its been throwing the CEL on and when i check codes 2187=system too lean at idle bank 1. on occ the light goes off by itself but here recently it has stay on for days now until i delete with my OBD2 scanner
any help would be appreciated
the car runs strong no issues the dealer cannot figure it out

I think I could help this also drove me crazy . there was a tsb for leaking intake gasket for 07 e63
there are new bolts and new gaskets to fix this . it toke me around 2h to do .I also found the rubber at the base of the Y pipe that goes from the 2 airboxes to the back was getting hard and leeting air by. this gasket is arund 20$ , the intake gasket and bolts were also cheap

Check your dipstick, see if it came un-seated..Mine used to get pushed out, I replaced it with a new one and never had the problem again I threw the same codes your getting.

thanks for the help Ertech, i screw up when i first pull the codes i erase them
i call my SA this morning and told her she said that the engine light needs to be ON in order to pull the codes again.
the P2187 has been coming on/off for the past 8 months but now here recently has stay on for a while.
the car in the morning always has a slight missfire/splur once it warm up it resolves.
the other code i forgot to tell you guys was
P0456-evaporative emission system leak detected. very small leak
so now i have to wait to this code pop up again and take back to dealer

Same P0456 CEL here. Anyone having any luck tracking this down?

 

My cel code was down to one of the following things,

The map was to agressive on part throttle/idle

And one of the airfilters and cracked

So tge filters were replaced and the map was adjusted on part throttle and ive not seen the cell yet
