Why is my car not level?
Driver's front - 24"
Passenger front - 24 1/4"
Driver's rear - 24 3/8"
Passenger rear - 24 7/8"
Why is the passenger side sitting higher? The front doesn't bother me as much as the rear. That's a 1/2" difference back there. I know STAR uses only one setting for the rear, so it can't be a difference in settings. What's up with my stance?
The way the dealer checks leveling is with SDS and the Romess tool on the alignment rack (where it's perfectly level.)
fwiw, my car is different if I park head on in the garage or back in. I know my garage floor has a bit of a downward slant to it.
I sat with a tech fr hours trying to level it out but the car would just auto adjust to the lean after a spin around the block. I just gave up.
On a side note, we took a measuring tape to ALL the cars in the service department and measured them. EVERY SINGLE car that had air matic had the same results, not ONE was even on the driver/passenger side. Go figure?
