I thought I was going crazy but found that my 2004 E55 is having the same leak issue. Lots to read in the PDF. Very appreciative of the work and hope that a reasonable solution is found.

What is the best case scenario here? That MB will honor the suit fix this problem for good or will they just be replaxing dsending units and or tanks only for them to fail again in a couple months?

Quote: These cars are no longer in production. They have been sold and the profit has been realized. They aren't on the radar anymore. If this was happening to a model still in production, you can bet that it would be addressed quickly. After all, it would affect sales numbers.

Daimler is a for profit corporation.

It will indeed damage their profits somehow in the future. If they do nothing about this serious problem in these cars then for one...how many of these people will EVER buy another Mercedes?

Two...what if this leaky fuel issue turns into a major fire in a car from some rear end accident and people die from it? At least this petition will be proof of it's existence and help someone in the future...if nothing else.

I, for one, will be hesitant in buying a TT car in the future if they do nothing about this because I have been hearing about this problem since coming to this forum. Luckily, mine didn't have that issue.

P.S. I will sign this thing you have but when I clicked the link...nothing came up.

PETITION has been closed FYI. To the OP, I would like to be added to the list as I am now having fuel system issues. Thanks

Any member here (CA residents) interested in finding counsel (with me) in hopes to try and get MB to rectify these dangerous fuel system problems?
