I have a buddy running it with a highly modified C5. It's silver with MO plates. Not sure of the size of the crowd there, so sorry if that is a dumb comment on my part.

Someone had a silver sl65 I think he has tranny problems. I made a pass I'm Jerry's m5 shifted too early from 6 to 7 only managed 162. Jake drove it and clocked 169

Just a specator for this event, until I can complete more modifications. Me, my Wife and Shardul rode together to the event. Next goal for us will be 190 mph and will have to take it step by step on the power. First heads and then maybe 200mm pulley and anything else we can add to get the power needed for 190.. It is a hard mark to hit but so is 180..
I saw two S/C CTS V caddies running and one made 550 RWHP and the other made 620 RWHP. The first one ran 167 mph with pulley, tune, airbox H/E. The other ran 174 mph all day long at 620 rwhp pulley, open exhaust, headers, ported heads and cams and bunch of bolt ons.. Saw 3 Corvette ZR1`s and all ran in the 174 to 175 mph range.. Nissan GTR with tune and a few bolts on would run 174 mph and saw a stock one run 161 mph..
This shows you how good our AMG`s are, can be and also how hard it is to hit 180 mph in the standing mile.. It Aint easy, as we say in Texas..

what's with the fastest m5 only running 169? and i say "only 169" with all due respect, it' just that i expected more with all the years of hearing about their top end and gearing advantages. maybe it was bone stock?
