"Beep" when driving through deep water
I searched for this and found nothing.
With the heavy rain in Northern CA, we had some minor local flooding. I had to drive through some relatively deep water. I pushed the "raise" button when I realized there was no eazy way around.
The water was not exceptionally deep. Debrise went up about one third of the grill below the bumper.
As I am driving through I got a 1-2 second beep. It happened again before driving out. It also happened one more time and never again.
I sounded like it might be from the parktronic system. I did not think fast enough to look at the indicator lights. I would have thought they would have caught my eye. I was certainly going slow enough for the sytem to be active.
Maybe water splashed up in front of the sensors.
So has anyone else had this experience?

Nothing exciting now, hopeful future E55/63 owner!
At least you didn't end up at the dealer with the service advisor asking, "OK, so who is the u-boat commander".

A simlar entertaining function, the car will warn you when the battery is low. I was listening to my music louder at the Airport with the car off and after about 30minutes an audible voice came on saying "Battery Low."
Nice feature!

Thanks for the comments, gents.
The worst situation I ever had driving through water was in a 1985 MR2. First new car I ever bought. For those who do not know what it looks like, mine was identical to the blue one:
I ended up getting committed to driving through a flooded intersection. I dare not stop because if I did the rear engine compartment would have flooded. The water literally covered the whole front of the car. It was just lapping over the top edge of the hood.
The only damage was long term. Water got into the steering rack. Caused rust on the rack, which wore away the rack bushings/seals. Had to replace the rack and seals.
