What will I expect with SL55 snorkels as opposed to the ones I have now? I hear there is a baffle for the E55. Thanks guys, I'm very excited for this 50 dollar mod.

Your only going to need the drivers side. I bought mine last year for like $15 bucks. Can't notice anything but it can't hurt. You will not need the passenger side

Plus, the driver's side tube from the S55 is a better fit than the SL55 tube, which is too long. The shape of the tube at the inlet is different than the air pass-through next to the E55 radiator, but either tube will eliminate the restriction of the stock E55 tube (which significantly narrows down at one point for reasons unknown). Ditto on the probably not noticeable comment someone else made, but at least in theory, it ought to flow more air.

You will notice nothing. There is no power in swapping to an SL55 intake tube. I don't want to come off brash as text show no emotion...But, I think its a waste of money even if its only pocket change. One thing is for sure, you never know until you try.

Yeah been there done that, you wont notice it.Heck I didnt even notice the python tubes and those were done only for cosmetic reason to match the rest of my carbon fiber setup.

I'm running one as well. It certainly didn't hurt.
Think of it this way. Your supercharger is an asthmatic, gasping for air through 2 straws. You just took the kink out of one of the straws.
Was it the weakest link in our setup from the factory? certainly not. But I've got confidence that as you accrue modifications, it will begin to matter more and more.

from what Ive read in other posts, the SL55 tubes need to be modified with a heat gun in order to fit right whereas the S55 tubes fit perfectly with no need to modify.

A standard right side intake pipe fits perfectly on the left and if you want to believe that a 50% reduction in diameter of and intake pipe has no consequences . . . well, good luck.
