damn, missed it. Wanted to drive over (25 mins) but got stuck doing a bunch of BS. May show up tomorrow early for a few runs...let me know if any of you boys are heading up. Nice cool night, but track prep will probably be crap.

The boss informs me I have "family commitments" whatever that means. That's what happens when you're an old fart like me. Next time. I'm going to run street tires Friday night just to see if I can get in the 11.6's on street tires.

Street night is Wed and Fri, the meatheadiest. They also do assorted test and tunes you'll see on the website below, and the 30 or 35 dollar fee keeps out at least 25% of the people. The best bet if you want to practice is to sign up for a reserved slot wed during the day. It's 100 bucks or so, you only run one lane (so no one can hit you), but it is empty and you can run till you are bored. Hope to see you there some day... a G running would be funny as sh*t. Z

Anyone get a clarification yet about what the rules are this year for "no roll cage" cars?
There was some controversy about them adopting new stricter rules this year; a lot of the modded guys could get thrown out for their ETs...

I called them and they said as long as I didn't break 11.49 I'd be "fine". I don't think they went stricter. But the guy sounded like he was answering the phone at wendy's, though.

bad night tonight. No vht on the track, they said it was too cold to spray. I have never had such a hard time getting traction. running street tires - I spun the whole length of the track. I actually got beat by an s600 no tune (the black one you saw the other night), spinning thru the traps at 96 mph. Brutal. Best run was 12.56. also ran a 17 somethin'. I think I would have been better of taking my tune off, as I couldn't apply power. Spinning at 96 was a little scary. very humbling. A GTR was running 11s though. AWD.
