New Camaro SS kill
Wish I could have gotten some video, but this is how it went down.
I came up on a brand new Camaro SS, not even tagged yet, doing about 85-90. He sped up and pulled up beside me and started taunting me.
Since I had my wife with me I just laughed it off as he sped away. She then asked why I let him get away with being a jerk like that. I responded because she was there with me. She said just don't get in trouble--I was shocked.
I kicked down and passed him with me doing in the upper 140's-lower 150's and then slowed down for an upcoming exit--he followed and got on my tail at the red light.
I took a slow left with him right on my tail. I did the three count (rolling about 5 mph) and we both took off. The distance steadily grew as the speeds increased. As we approached 120ish I came up on some traffic and had to slow down. He was a good 3-4 car lengths behind me just before that.
I'm totally stock except for having the resonator removed and BBS wheels.
Thought it was pretty good considering it was a hot day and I had been running some pretty high speeds prior to the actual race.

Thanks guys. I think so too. It's taken time but she is starting to understand. She now wants to upgrade her 528i for an Audi S5 and wants Eisenmann exhaust put on it. I hear they are pretty quick as well but have never encountered one to see.

She is actually cool about it as long as it's under the right conditions. She has been with me a few times in the 140's. Just a cool chick. On top of that she is 6'0" and incredibly beautiful!

[QUOTE=klenbore;4644454]I too have noticed a few of these SS's running around in my neck of the woods. How do you think my stock 09 E63 would fair against one?[/QUOTE
I'm stock and did well so I would expect you would too. We are probably pretty close to the same from 0-120 I would think--but not certain. Maybe some of the more experienced folks would know or you could do a forum search and get feedback.

Would have been a bad outcome if the supercharger shut off.

actually there was! Chevy was offering them at way below MSRP because after the whole Transformers allure wore off their sales began to plummet. My Uncle picked up a 6spd SS for a steal.
