Houston Cars & Coffee - 5/7 **now with pics**

This thing is 8-10. How early should you actually show up to park in it? I've never been to one.

Anyone else going?

I'm going to try. Haven't been out to the new location so I am interested as to what time to arrive as well. It's going to be a trek for me but the location should be pretty good for you!

I won't be there this month but last month even with the drizzle I got there about 7:30am and it was filling fast. This meet should be even bigger than last month. Just remind those GTO guys not be douche bags and oh try not wreck the car leaving! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XJNZ...eature=related

Oh my. That second video is painful to watch. Not even going to bother to comment on the driver's skills as we've all pulled an ahole move before... just not caught on video. Luckily I haven't had to pay for mine like that guy did. Ugh.

I like how the cop directing traffic just ignores it.

The opposite side this time.....which worked out well as the warranty didn't cover both struts, so now I'm getting a new strut on the drivers side too.

Houston roads are TERRIBLE!

New to the MB World..

Just picked up my E63 the other day and was curious as to this Coffee and Cars thing. I am in Houston (Memorial Park) and am interested to meet other MB enthusiasts. This is my first Benz (Had TT Supra and M3 prior). Any other E55/E63 guys going?

Haha. I should just leave work right now and polish her! I'm excited to see how this flex works compared to my rotary. I think it will be a lot easier to work with. Making my paint perfect has become an obsession. I just had to get a black car.

Ran into a crapload of traffic on Telge and ended up getting there late and had to park in the spectator section.

Anyways, here's the few pics I took. WARNING! Amateur pics ahead!

This thing sounded healthy!

I didn't really see any E55's there.

Mine is still in the shop.

Mine being in the shop, and seeing a lot of Mustangs there today had me at the Ford Dealer this afternoon test driving the new 5.0L.

Thinking about trading in the E55 for a Mustang.....

what happened to your car? Mustangs look nice but I don't think a stock 5.0 will put the same smile on my face as the e55. I have raced two GT500 mustangs and beat them both, one on highway and one from a stop light.

I hit a pothole and it popped an airbag (again).

I'd be a lot happier with the E55 if it didn't have air suspension.

The problem with the E55 is it has no life when you drive it.

This was my last car:

I miss the precision, the speed, the rawness, and importantly the fun.

The 5.0 Mustang has all of those. Its not as fast as the E55, its not got the space of the E55, but by gosh its a LOT more fun.

With our cars being worth under $20K these days, my mind is turning towards trading it in.

That said, as a traffic, or long distance cruiser, to pick people up from the airport, or even just to get treated nicely at a restaurant, you cannot beat the E55.
