Okay, well I decided I wanted some more bass from the stupid factory set-up and I got a few parts. Since I never can go cheapy I decided to get a good brand and go a little overkill especially when I do not have money to waste
. Anyways, I bought a JL Audio 12w6v2 sub in a powerwedge, HD 750/1 amp, bass controller, line output converter, and wiring kit.
I am hooking it up tomorrow, but my question is, does anybody have a picture of the stock amplifier and is it located behind the carpet on the left side of the trunk by the SAM module? Lastly, the subwoofer that is in the top of the inside of the trunk taken out from inside the trunk or in the back seat of the car?
Thanks for all the help, should have this thing rocking tomorrow!

LOL, just a simple one I bought from a car audio store for $40. The brand is PAC or Pacific Accessory Corporation, they told me it was good so I hope so.

Sub comes out the top deck from inside the car. I bought a high to low converter for a high voltage amp I think up to 25V or something like that. removing rear sub is a pain but it's well worth it if you like a little bass or want more bass.

I am trying to get the subwoofer out from the inside of the car but am having troubles. Can anybody explain how to get the panel off behind the seats that is covering the sub? Thanks.

Lol, enclosed in a box like mikeys.
Infinity's I had since I was 16 (almost a decade ago) and they held up perfect. The sound isnt as great (still good) but they arent ripped like the pics above lol. Truly, truly disappointed with JL.
Plus, this car is so well insulated, it's hard to get true bass inside.
Your sound system is nasty.. this is child stuff compared to your setup

JL is good stuff.. Used to have a 12w6v2 as well back in the day.. I would deff keep the gain on the amp down, to spare the sub

Damn man! You blew them while in an enclosure? You must have really been pushing the crap out of them!! Yeah I've had a set of infinities forever and they have never failed me either! And I pushed the crap out of them!

I'm sure the JL sub I had is a better sounding sub though, but certainly less withstanding to hard bass. At least in my situation. I guess I did push it hard though.
Here's a pic of the JLW6 in the car:

And a pic of the Infinitys:

Mikey, I ran a 750.1 Rockford Fosgate amp with the JL sub with the gain turned about 3/4 of the way up and you saw what happened to the sub.

you want the sound wave to travel farther for deeper notes. hence pointing at the rear usually plays lower frequencies and louder, and gives you a 3db bump for corner loading the driver

That piece covering the stock subwoofer.. just pull it off, its held in with clips...
I taped into the subwoofer wires, than into a LOC, to the amp... have 2 12s (kicker komp vr's) bass turned up and it hits HARD... gotta find a new box though, rox box weighs almost 100lbs with the subs lmao
