anyone with start? is there any speedo calibration in there?
Im having issues from going to a 275/35/18 from a 265/40/18 and the car is turning on the traction control at high speeds on boost.
Is there anything in there to reset or recalibrate the wheel sensors?

I FIXED IT
Man these cars are so freaking picky.I decided to check the rear tire pressure and they were at 41psi.Droped them to 34.5 and whalla no more T/C bleeding boost!!!!
I just went from litterally wanting to smash my car into a tree to loving it more than the day I bought it.
It feels like I went from a stock E55 to a pulley and tune now that the car is not cutting power.
note to future members....you need to stay as close as possible to stock rolling diameters or the car will cut power. Most stock E55s will never notice this but once you have that extra power it screws up the TC big time.
I went from trapping 122-123 to trapping 116-117 today and all I changed were my tires.I will hit the track next week and see if this fixed it.The but dyno says easy 100whp more now.

Yeah I just got the wheels in the other day and never botherd to look at what they were at.I checked the fronts and they were 35 and figured the rears would of been the same.
It says max psi of 44.I still got a 1.75 60 ft with them at 41 tho

Its kinda hard to get you a 0-100 run when I can do this in second gear with M/T drag radials lol

Glad to hear you solved the ESP issue.
Wouldn't it make sense to turn off dyno mode on the street if you're battling that much wheelspin? If you are backpedaling the throttle to get it to hook, the ESP has got to be able to do a better / faster job finding traction.
Do you run at the dragstrip with ESP on or off? I know you said that ESP was kicking on at 80mph, but I was curious since I know that ESP is still somewhat involved even when the button is off.
BTW -> I put my car in dyno mode for the first time yesterday (pretty sure I did it right) and my "traction triangle" doesn't stay illuminated like I saw in your video. Mines an '06...maybe that makes a difference? (maybe the video was made with ESP off, not full dyno mode?)

The triangle was illuminated because he simply pushed the 'ESP' button on the center by the lock unlock buttons. But man, spinning tires at 30+ with DR's is a real amazing sight.

strange. becuase i changed my rear wheels and tires to 9.5" 18" 275/45/18 and the car had no problem at all.
i was reaching from 0 - 320km in about 45 seconds.
i noticed laso my RPM was less @ the same speed before with the smaller sizes.
2000 RPM 110km stock tires.
these fat tires 2000RPM 117km.

My brothers 2004 is not like mine at all.His will smoke the tires with ease doing a brake stand and mine wont do a burn out.
His also will shift in M mode when redling and mine will hit the rev limiter. His also will downshift on the dyno in M mode if you push the kickdown while mine wont do that in M.

you have a weird car then my friend.
I can do burnouts, in M, my wont downshift, but will shift at redline. A buddy just put cls 19's on his 04 e55 and he didnt have issues either.
Either way, congrats on the easy fix

Also, while I have never driven my car at 50ish*F due to the fact that I live in PR and the lowest temp I see if mid 70's, I can go WOT at 40mph in 2nd gear and spin my 275 Toyo T1R's pretty decently to the point where my can will start to slow down ( throttle closure ) and go back to pulling hard again in the upper rpms. I've never tried DR's so it does make me curious...lol.
As for your original problem...I honestly don't get what going on. My car had 275/35/18 for a few months with ZERO issues at 40psi. My front tire was 245/40/18 which I assume is the same as yours. Heck, my car right now has tires which have a larger discrepancy than the oem 18's had and I still have no issues ( I don't think I do anyways ).

My E55 is just like yours in that it won't let me do burn outs and will hold the gear in M mode no matter what I do ( I can rev limit for half an hour if I feel like it...lol ).

This was done in a week span and I think the tcu thought there was a sensor error and would just bleed boost while on wot.I was trying everything I could think of to fix it and it finally threw a wrong gear ratio code.
I didnt have this problem with the nittos and those were 25.55 inches tall and my new tires are 25.6 and I thought that there is no way that could be the problem.Well I took out some air and the car works lol.
It could of been from doing a sneaky ecu reset, scan tool reset or throwing it in dyno mode(that caused the code to come up)and wouldnt engage the S/C at all or a mix of all of the above.
Im not going to try dyno mode again to see if the S/C engages for fear of having this start all over again.

I dunno...I've switched from 265/35/18 to 275/35/18 and then to 275/30/19 all within a few months ( 2 months or so for all three tire sizes ) with absolutely no issues. Heck, I even had a 275/30/19 on one side and 275/35/18 on the other side ( blew a tire ) and it didn't give me any trouble either and I went WOT all the time like this and one tire was about .3" taller than the other side.
It's just weird...

mine was 2005. and it won't burn out while pressing the brakes.
mine didn't shift down or up in M mode even at red-line. (this thing happened after i tuned it)
i also had Nitto NT05. i liked them
