E63 RESONATOR DELETE, AND CEL OPINIONS NEEDED
i was told by a few of my more knowledgeable mod-crazy friends that there MAY be a chance that IF i delete my resonators and secondary cats, that it might set off the CEL.
i searched about it, but i couldn't find too much info.
P.S. i plan to atleast delete my resonator this weekend, and plan to take my car into service on tuesday, should i delete them this weekend? or just wait out until it comes back from MBZ. same question, should i go ahead and delete the cats too?

Primary cats will cause the CEL not the post cats or the resonator.
I just did my post cat and resonator delete, no issues.

I dont think the way someone finances (lease, purchase, own) their car determines if a warranty will cover a part. The service advisors dont have that access (privacy). It all depends on what your service advisor is willing to cover and charge MBUSA versus declining coverage.
I owned cars, leased cars, financed cars... never once when I went in for claim(s) was I asked if I was leasing or owning. And all my cars are modded.

My ESP light has came on, so maybe saying "servicing" the car was the wrong thing to do.
I have an appointment at the dealership to take my car in to get my "ESP inoperable" message fixed.
But I really want to go and get atleast my resonator deleted today or this weekend.
I don't want MBZ to be a female about the abscense of my resonator.
And I plan on purchasing extend warranty from the dealership at 100k miles..
Bottom line I don't wanna mess anything up with my warranty being voided AND I don't want them to baby around about my resonator not being there on tuesday

Do you bother reading posts? Your not buying $6000 exhaust here just delete the res and 2nd cats already!
They cant void your entire warranty for modding your exhaust. If they want to be asses, they can refuse to fix a certain problem because it was the direct cause of your modification. E.G. deleting your res and 2nd cats, somehowwwwwwww ruins your CATS... they will say sorry its because of your exhaust mods, BUT if your AC stops working, or your transmission fails, they cant blame the exhaust mod for that obviously. Dealerships just try to **** with everyone, I learned not to take their **** and they will respect you LOL... that and get on the good side of some service adviser.
On lease, end of the term ya they most likely would say bring the car back to stock etc etc. But on a financed or bought car... they can **** themselves lol.
