Well, on SC cars theres no benefit. on your NA, It might help 'ram' the air into the intake and yield power in return. I am sure Shardul would have very good input on this.

How did you come to this conclusion? you signature say your all stock, did you buy them and not like them?
I have them on my car and saw around tenth and half improvemt in my 1/4 time. I posted my slips in another thread.
I also know that the fastest non nitrous 1/4 mile E55 has them on his car but what I know.

+1 sneaky speaks from experience i'd deem his post more credible. There was also a thread not too long ago proving they do in fact work.

to the OP, I'm no expert but I would assume since they are "TTM Sccops" you would naturally contact TTM

Posting a timeslip is not 'proof' that these do indeed work. There are so many factors involved when Doing 1/4 miles that its just not accurate. unless you can tell me EVERY 1/4 mile you have ever done with these has had better traps and ETs than without them...

this is a retarded 1st mod -- maybe a 4th or last mod --- 1st mod should be charcoal filters --- 2nd - headers or tune -- 4th ttm scoops or something else

what do you mean by charcoal filters? Are you reffering to replacing the stock engine air filters with K&N's or something that flows more? Thanks

Whatever we're tuning!
The TTM Intake Scoops were developed for the W211 E55 ONLY!

They do not fit the E63 but I might have a FRP option in the future!

The TTM Intake Scoops were developed to get more air volume to the hidden air pick up ports on the sides of the radiator. They are not meant for a "ram air effect" like you assumed.

I am sure Shardul does have some great input since he has them on his car!

I have them and will hit the track next week. The last time I went I was having TCU/Traction issues because my car freaked out and didnt like the new wheels I put on.

Still ran an 11.7 with the light blinking and bleeding boost down the whole track lol

I just dont see it. on a supercharged car there is a helluva vacuum so I dont understand the need to 'scoop' air into the SC, but thats just me.

Pulling out your charcoal filters completely. The filter on top of your filter. You can cut the plastic lattice out at that point too, though I doubt that does much.
